Dingle Peninsula, Ireland - a location to love

Believe it or not, we at Cobbles & Clover have found many reasons to return to this darling town on the western coast of Ireland and have visited repeatedly over the years as part of road trips around the Emerald Isle. This stop on the Wild Atlantic Way is most certainly at the top of our list of locations to love!

The town of Dingle is a village brimming with character. Whether you're interested in sampling the craic (local chit chat) and a tasty Guinness at the hardware store turned pub or a stroll along the marina full of sailboats at sunset, Dingle is a feast for all the senses. Incredible seafood is bountiful in local restaurants as well.

Even though it's tempting to nestle in, make sure to explore beyond this lovely gem of a town and set out to see the glistening North Atlantic waters and swaying palm trees (we were surprised too!) on the Slea Head Drive around the peninsula. The temperate air passing through due to the gulf stream encourages the intense green that Ireland is famous for and allows for delightful sightseeing. You can discover 6,000 years of history by visiting sites like the Gallarus Oratory or dip your toes into the water of the gorgeous beaches, should you so desire. It's the perfect adventure for any family or group of friends!
